Bit 0-1 : Modulation (0 = Auto, 1 = QPSK, 2 = 8PSK, 3 = 16QAM (auto doesnt work with Hauppauge devices))
Bit 2 : Modulation System (0 = DVB-S, 1 = DVB-S2)
Bit 3-4 : Roll-Off (0 = 0.35, 1 = 0.25, 2 = 0.20, 3 = reserved)
Bit 5-6 : Spectral Inversion (0 = undefined, 1 = auto, 2 = normal, 3 = inverted)
Bit 7 : Pilot Symbols (0 = off, 1 = on).

I have tried Sat king and Lyngsat.

If anyone has any ideas it would be most appreciated?

I have worked this out now, maybe I was a little premature with with post..Sorry guys.

Nope more apologies, I have scanned the s2 channels but I get no signal when I try to watch them. Could someone please help me work out the S2 setting for 282.ini.

For example how do I work out the s2 part for; 43=11719,H,29500,34,s2

many thanks

Sub please help mee......?????

43=11719,H,29500,34,s2

am I write in thinking that the above would work out at 1 10 10 1 01. To be honest I am just having a wild stab in the dark at the roll-off and pilot symbols..Smile Also is the spectral inversion normal=H and Inverted=V?

Thanks

If you can tell me what the pilot and rolloff are for the the DVB, I'll tell you what value you'd need to use to replace the "S2" part of that tuning request.

Are you using a Hauppauge DVB-S2 product? This will only work on a Hauppauge device.

The Hauppauge Nova-S2 should be fine.

I dont know - you'd probably have to google for your satellite to try to find it. I dont have any other source of this info.

I have googled and googled for this info until I have gone mad, I suppose I will have to try some trial and error then? The must only be a few combinations. What do you think, I have tried 165 and I am on 213 at the moment?

Try 54 and 182. Thats what our DVB-S2 transmissions use.

would 43=11719,H,29500,34,s2 end up with a different number to say 43=11719,V,29500,34,s2?

Just replace the "s2" part of the line with whatever numbers you want to try.
