I do have an antivirus. I think it's called Pc-cillin or something. I will turn it off and try again.

I was wondering but didn't have time to check for some sort of an error log file.

Tunning Assistant - don't know if i know what it is. I will look for it when it get home.

Thanks! (Getting close to having it work!)

Tunning Assistant - I went through it and it found all the channels that I'm supposed to get. Told me i had to enter them into gbpvr... not sure where. :confused:

Anti-Virus - I disabled it to test and i still got the error.

Log files - I zipped up all the log files and uploaded them. Is that what you meant?

Been so busy lately but i really want this software to work. It would be supreme to have that much more control over my saved shows. :o

Thanks!

In config you seem to have your device set up as a hauppauge pvr150.
You will need to select the proper device name for your tuner.
If it doesn't exist in the drop down you will need to add it to direct.ini yourself.

hmmm.. what about my Emuzed Angel II.

Anyways... Yeah that's what i originally was trying to get help with. I got pretty far with the tips you gave me but perhaps I am getting real far in the worng direction. heh

This stuff right?:
[Conexant BDA DVB-T]
TUNING_TYPE=DVB-T
FILTER_TUNER=Conexant BDA DVB-T Tuner/Demod
FILTER_CAPTURE=Conexant 2388x Transport Stream Capture
PIN_TUNER_IN=Input0
PIN_TUNER_OUT=MPEG2 Transport
PIN_CAPTURE_IN=MPEG2 Transport
PIN_CAPTURE_OUT=MPEG2 Transport

I'm such a rookie. :o

where did you find that information from?
If this is an analog device you will need to add a section to the direct.ini file.
That info looks like it's coming from bda.ini which is completely different.

When you went through the tuning assistant, you were able to see video?
which device did you have selected?

I got that info from the bda.ini file, you are correct. I just picked the first one i saw for templating. I thought I had a digital card at first and that's why I was looking at the bda file.

Tunning Assistant - It was a sort of pop up box that started scanning and prompted me to click ok at every channel. the prompt said something along the lines of: Channel found... blah blah blah... note the channel name and number because you'll need to enter it into gbpvr.... so on so on... channel 3 frequency 5750000. [something like that]

I had the emuzed angel device selected... once again i believe i was looking at the wrong thing with this too. heh

when using the tuning assistant, if you move that popup box there should be a window that displays video underneath. Can you confirm that there is in fact video being displayed.
If so, remember the device name you selected.
Then in the config app, set up a capture device with that device name.

hiramgf, use GBPVR wiki. It is meant to help you through this process. Look for capture card in the left side.
