Picture Library - Aspect Ratio

The Picture Library displays my photos at their 4:3 aspect ratio with black bars on the sides, which is fine for my computer screen.

However, when shown on the TV, they appear too thin (due to the different pixel size between the TV and PC monitor). Is there a way to have the photos streched horizontally so they display better on the TV?
