Dear Sub,

my XP went unstable, and rather than install the old stuff, I figure it was time to upgrade a bit.

I have Vista drivers for my DVB-T card, and it seems to work fine under the Windows Media Center software, but GBPVR is being sticky.

I am having trouble scanning for channels and downloading the DVB EPG.

I have attached my log files and the config.xml file.

Many thanks,
Dane

You could try deleting any *.cache files from c:\program files\devnz\gbpvr\bda, then try scanning again.

Hi Sub,

I actually put the old cache files in since they have the tuning requests from my old 99.5 XP configuration.

I have a feeling that the BDA drivers are troublesome here, but can't say for sure.

When I try to scan for DVB-T channels the card sometimes hangs.

Regards,
Dane

Found and fixed!

Apparently the account used by the GBPVR service to operate does not have enough rights to create the temp files necessary for BDA parsing (usually root of CSmile.

I setup the service to run as administrator (and XPSP2 compatibility mode) and now all is well.

I will see how the MVP fares next -- o woe is me....

Ah, good spotting. I'll correct for the next release.
