Recording service crashing daily

If I want to watch something using MediaMVP, I use other utilities to convert the dvr-ms files to MPEG-2, otherwise I just watch the dvr-ms recording on my computer.

What utilities are you using? Are you able to get MPEG-2 files that you can view on MVP and FF/RW without losing audio/video sync?

For the most part, I use Nero Vision (Part of Nero 7 Ultra Enhanced.) It was free after rebates, and it allows me to recode to several different formats (MPEG-1, MPEG-2, AVI, DV among others) and video compression options (DivX, XviD, Indeo, MPEG-4, Cinepak, etc.)I occasionally have audio sync issues, but I've found they're usually related to poor source recordings. Most of what I record is just time-shifting to watch later anyway, so I'm not terribly bothered by minor sync problems.
