As soon as I open gbpvr9905 I get a microsoft error message - "gbpvr has encountered a problem and needs to close. we apologise for this inconvenience" and then an option to send an error report or not. This is happening every time I attempt to open the software (But the config opens fine.). It didn't happen before I had my channels scanned correctly (which I was having some trouble with.)

But now these all scanned and mapped correctly with updated epg.
BDA recorder plug-in, DVB epg broadcast, no channel changer required (I'm not sure what that is).

I have a freecom usb dvb-t stick and win xp sp2. I also have total media software installed, if that makes a difference.

To ease your curiousity, a channel changer is somethng (usually an ir blaster and its software) that changes channels on a set top box for you whenever needed.
I'm not always right

You've set it to use a USB-UIRT remote, but dont have one attached to your machine.

Change the remote type in the config app.

Ah. Thank you - that was silly of me. I think I put that just because I had a usb tv device.

I tried the program again but couldn't get a picture/sound. I had the video/audio decoder settings wrong too. I wasn't sure what they were supposed to be but tried a few combinations and am all sorted now.
