I have one last question since i read through the forum and i see a thread that describes my problem and i ran register filters but it didnt change a thing...And what is happening is i cant record a thing.. if i set a manual record or hit quick rec, i look in the list and it says FAILED by the show name and time under recordings. If i set it to record 5 minutes ahead and set it up and watch the black/white icon in the tray it never goes green when it should be recording.. If i double click on it it says capture source 1 and then underneither sleeping... Do u have any suggestions to get my recording working since everything else is fine.. Thats why i moved to this great software so i could record... Thanks for any help!!!!!

Ah, I didnt notice the name of the capture device you mentioned. I wasnt aware you were using the software encoder plugin. Sorry, I dont provide any support for this. I've never even downloaded it - so dont really know anything about it.

That said, I did see your logs ended with:

Quote:2/26/2007 12:45:23 PM.593 ERROR [7] FATAL UNHANDLED EXCEPTION:: System.AccessViolationException: Attempted to read or write protected memory. This is often an indication that other memory is corrupt.

at System.Threading._IOCompletionCallback.PerformIOCompletionCallback(UInt32 errorCode, UInt32 numBytes, NativeOverlapped* pOVERLAP)
This is covered here: http://forums.gbpvr.com/showpost.php?p=1...ostcount=2

I have the option of using a different card.. Could you please reply sub and let me know your opinion on which i should get that will work good with the software from your experience... Either an ATI TV Wonder 650 PCI Tuner card OR Hauppauge WINTV -PVR 150.... Those are the 2 options i have so which do you recommend that will record and not have issues like my ATI TV Wonder Pro card?????? ThanksSmile The thing i like about the 650 is it has fm radio but if its more trouble i can get the 150.... ThanksSmile

I'm using the Theater Pro 650 (HDTV) and the WINTV PVR 150. Of the two, the PVR 150 is more stable. Sometimes I don't get the recording on the ATI, and HDTV is jittery (still working on this, I think it's a driver problem, been talking to AMD about it). The PVR 150 also has FM, IIRC. I don't use it. I'm hooked on Shoutcast radio now.
