I've been testing my upgrade to 0.99.12 on my HTPC and have found the PC will no longer automatically go into standby. The PC power management is setup to go into S3 standby after 5 minutes inactivity and this worked fine with 0.99.05 prior to the upgrade. All I have done is install the new version (over 0.99.05) and made no other changes. Also if I manually "Stop recording service" with 0.99.12 then it will drop into standby fine again while the recording service is not running. I've captured debug logs but there are no entries at all for the time the PC is sitting idle.
I've tried this a number of times with my backed up image of 0.99.05 and it is repeatable each time. I'm running no additional plugins.

Anybody else seen this or got any ideas? Thanks.

Sorry for sounding dismissive, but someone reports this with every release. I'll wait to see if there is more reports.

Sub, appreciate that, I've seen them myself over the last few years and standby can be a real minefield. I posted as I've never had a problem with any previous release on this PC, all I did was upgrade and it seems linked to the recording service process (which is correctly sitting there not using any CPU). I'll probably try a fresh install when I get time over the weekend - especially if it looks as if it is just me. I'm mainly interested to know though if anybody else is seeing this on upgrading. Cheers.

I have he same problem but it's not directly related to 99.05. It used to work ok with that version until ~3 weeks ago. It only works if I set the idle time in power settings to 1 minute. . So there must something that does something every 2 mins. I can see things happening in Process Explorer. But can't really tell what exactly is going on.

I had the same standby issue when I upgraded to 99.12.

Reverted to 99.05, system enters standby normally.

Also found that setting to 1min would work with 99.12.

This problem seems to now be fixed with the patch in this post; though still testing.
