Recording mode cuts sound

While watching Live TV I press the record button and the sound cuts out. The sound will come back on once I stop recording. Playing back the recorded file, however, the sound is fine.
Every channel, every time.... Has anyone experienced this and found a solutions???

Setup

Dell Dimension 4400 (1.6ghz)
1gb of RAM
WinTV PVR150
Delta 1010 sound card
GEForce 6600 video card

I'm guessing its something to do with the audio decoder you're using.
