An "Autodelete" utility that works?

Is there an autodelete utility out there that actually works?

I've tried MaxRecordings. I get database errors and it never deletes anything.

I've tried Autodelete. It never deletes anything below my threshold and my drive fills up.

Are there any other solutions?

BTW: I use PriorityRecordings to do my season records.

There used to be a "keepMaxNumberOfRecordings" (but another name) in the view where you setup your recording.... wonder where that went.

I use Autodelete just fine. Is there something I can help you with? Send me your AutoDelete.vbs and I'll take a look at it.

The only problems I've ever had was when my threshold was the size of a 1 hour recording and then it records a 2 hour show. I ran out of room for the 2 hour show because my threshold wasn't big enough for it.

I love the MaxNumberOfRecordings setting. I didn't even know that it was removed in newer versions since I'm running 99.05 (I think). I can't beleive they removed it, it was such a practical feature. It is a great way to manage your hard drive space, especially for those of us with large hard drives dedicated to recordings. This way I dont have dozens of episodes of shows, only the limited amount I want (usually 10). If they got rid of that feature they should bring it back, I don't think I have any recordings which didn't use that setting.

You talking about the built in functionality to specify the maximum number of recordings to keep when you schedule a season recordings? If so, then its still there. I use it on all my recordings.
