Cancel a Recording

How do I cancel a Recording. I brought up the TV Guide and found the channel and time of the recording I wanted to cancel. I hit Enter and Cancel but that didn't do the job. Then I went into Recordings and Pending and cancelled each one in there. Now no more a showing as Pending. Have I done this correctly?

It's fine, I kill them from "pending"

Either way will get you to the same place. I just tried canceling a recording both ways and it worked fine.
