Duplicate Channel Entries

I recently did a clean install of 99.12 with all the patches from the survival guide. I have a PVR 500 on cable, so I created 2 capure sources. I have set the channel frequencies in the registry, so my source channels run from 1 to 19 in the config app.
There are two channels that I cannot get XML TV data for so I added them in manually to both capure sources. However, I then end up with duplicate entries for these two channels in the channels tab and on the TV Guide.
Is there any way around this?

Unfortunately, all channels created manually are consider unique.

You could have got around this by manually adding them into your XMLTV once, and from then on they would be treated as the same channel.

Thanks Sub, that worked fine.
You may recall that I was trying to get a Hauppauge Nova S+ working a few months ago, but it kept crashing when I scanned for channels. I have had some success with installing an update for XP MCE on my PC (I cannot find the link for the patch as I have wiped my hard drive!). It will now scan and find a lot of Freeview channels but is still not 100%
