It'd be nice if there was a position bar at the top of the screen in live tv so one can tell, at a glance, how far into a program one is.

I'll bet that the math would be possible within a skin. It would be a matter of referencing the show being watched, compare to the current time...

I haven't started writing skins. Just thought I'd add my two cents, and maybe stimulate the mind of a skin writer...

Boy did I miss that one... When in timeShift, LiveTV, it TOTALY shows the progress within the program duration

Only if one is in time shifting mode. In live preview one only gets the title and summary at the bottom of the screen which is not what I'm talking about. Ideally, I'd like that and a bar at the top of the screen like the one shown in time shifting mode (without red and green filled areas, obviously).

As in a start and end time, and the current time inside that...?

The timeline doesn't show on my box in live TV mode. The rest of the OSD does though. My system is set to use Live Preview mode if possible. Zehd, are you saying your system shows the timeline and you are not in time shifted mode?

I don't think you'll get what you want without changes by sub if you're using the live previous, basically it would have to be a time based check, ok it's 12:34 and my program start at 12:30 and finishes at 13:00 that means I'm 2% through the program.

With Timeshift mode even that doesn't tend to figure out how far it is through the currently playing program (in terms of compared to when it is expected to finish).
