argggggggggghhhhhhh

forgive my insanity :o ..... i was at work when i posted that stuff about game console and dvd hookups.

Now that I am in the safe haven of my home I can think clearer for the most part.

Now thinking about it Ted made me realize that audio hookup is no big deal and along with the tv out from the foxconn mb that problem is solved.

As for the pvr 150 versions, I have a pvr 150 (that I'm keeping in my computer for watching while there) along with a mvp. So I have 2 remotes already. Don't think i need another.

Therefore I suppose the model of pvr 150's I will be looking for are one's without remotes and no extra inputs (s-video). At least those won't be a priority. Price will be whether mce or not.

Am I sounding more sane now ? Big Grin

Sorry I should have been more clear about what I meant.
I meant connecting the dvd-player to the extra input on the pvr-150.
I don't think that's a good idea, I don't think that'll work, not as a "pass-through thing".

slightly:p

why are you creating two separate machines to record shows?
you know that client/server stuff works out of the box right?
so you can create a dedicated HTPC, which records everything and is a single point of access for all of your recordings. and you can throw your current card in there, so it has two tuners. it will also free up resources on your main (gaming or whatever) PC

I won't be using my my current pc to record shows.
But I will still want to watch tv from my current pc.

you can stream liveTV, and when you are not doing that the tuner is free to record 2 shows at once, or whatever
