which tuner card is the best, i already have a hauppauge pvr 250, and am happy with it, and i am going to purchase another card, my question is, do i stick with 250, or is there a better one, and can the mvp play hd, if i buy and hd card??

To be honest, the PVR250 is as good as any of the other current analog cards.

The 250 is different than the 150 as the 150 uses 1 chip for video/audio, 250 has two chips 1 video 1 audio.

Correct, but that doesnt have any effect on picture quality - just manufacturing costs.

Most people give the PVR250 a slight edge on picture quality over the PVR150, but its pretty subjective.

Good luck finding a brand new one, you might get a second hand one on ebay.
