On screen buttons not working

I don't have a remote so I use my keyboard and mouse to FF and RW. But for some reason the pause, rewind, and fast forward buttons do not work at all. I've tried moving focus to the desktop and back to GBPVR but this did not help. Oh yeah, this started happening after I upgraded to 9912.

Any ideas?

Does the keyboard work? ie Ctrl-F and Ctrl-D

Does changing the video renderer help?

I'll give those a try when I get home from work and post back with results.

I had that problem with Vista and 99.12. I changed the Video Renderer to VMR9 custom and the OSD worked again. I have just tried VMR9 again and it now works!! Maybe one of the patches I have applied has changed it??
