I am new to gbprv but like the look of what I have seen so far, even though I cannot get my HDTV tuner card working when I select Live TV.

I have setup DBA.ini as per the Wiki instructions
Quote:[Dvico Fusion HDTV DVB-T PCI Pro]
TUNING_TYPE=DVB-T
FILTER_TUNER=FusionHDTV, BDA Tuner1
FILTER_CAPTURE=FusionHDTV, Transport Stream Capture1
PIN_TUNER_IN=Input0
PIN_TUNER_OUT=MPEG2 Transport
PIN_CAPTURE_IN=MPEG2 Transport
PIN_CAPTURE_OUT=MPEG2 Transport

These settings work when I setup a capture source, with all the channels being located along with picture and sound in the little preview window.

When I select Live TV I end up with just a blank screen. If I activate the status display it shows that the channel is selected and can be changed but there is no Video or Sound.

Any advice would be most welcome. The HDTV card is capable of Analog TV and Digital Radio as well but I am only concerned with getting the Digital TV working at the moment.

Thanks

Do you have a mpg-decoder installed, if so, did you select it in config-playback. Don't leave it to default. If you only can choose default you probably don't have one installed. I don't know whether you need a specific decoder for HD.
AMD Athlon 64 3000, HDD: 80, 120, 200 GB, Hauppauge 350 + 150, MVP, Asus 6000L Laptop client, Asus X50sl client,

On the playback tab I have the following choices for MPEG-2 Playback Video Decoder.
  • System Default
  • Cyberlink Video/SP Decoder
  • MainConcept MPEG Video Decoder
  • Zulu HDTV Video Decoder(BDA)
  • Nero Video Decoder
I have tried all the ones listed without success. I assume that I should be using Zulu HDTV Video Decoder(BDA).

OK. What did I do.....

I have re-installed GB-PVR to track the steps that I followed to try and discover why it isn't working.

Now I can't even get the channels to scan!
...
... some time later
...
OK I have got it to scan but locking up when it detects a signal.

Conclusion.

I have done something to the computer that had caused my problems. I will continue to investigate.
