If you don't wish to provide updates, that is fine. I can't blame you or any other developer really, it is not your responsibility.

In fact, if it is possible for there to be conflicting versions overwriting each other (ie not using an installer that will not overwrite), I would prefer there not to be developer provided versions.

Usually I recieve a PM from a developer stating they have a newer version of the skin (included with there latest version).

I download the plugin and "roll that version" into the official release. Otherwise I check all plugin updates when I can. It really helps if there is a note in the release log that there are changes in the skin (blue). That type of note helps all skinners really and we appreciate the notice.

Ok, that sounds like a better idea, because I think that situation has come up in the past where I've been out of date from CommunitySkin.

my thinking about that is that if someone is that concerned about their disk space then they should be able to figure out which plugins they have, and delete the stuff they dont use themself. if a custom installer is alot of work, I think you could spend your time better elsewhere (once again, this is IMHO)

I will have to try to make a note of that, and actually check the plugin relese logs... also, feel free to add me to that PM Smile

I downloaded the Community skin the other day
I must say I am very impressed with the smooth installation and all the features in the skinplugin and all the skin modes.
I don´t understand how you keep it all togehter, with all plugin updates.
You must "live" in front of the computer to keep it up to date. I know how much time skinning takes.
McBainUK shall also have applauses.
Extreamly good work.

Thanks MixMan. I appreciate the comments.
