I just had a bit of flooding in my office, and had to remove everything for a few days. It was amazing how many of the cables tangled in the rats nest were no longer required. It's actually quite tidy now. If only I can keep it that way...

I also had to tidy up the maze of wires and myriad of mains leads curled up on the floor - to replace a radiator.

I now have a visible floor and a big box full of cables. The old GBPVR machine has finally been retired from it's "hot standby" role and moved to the garage.
A huge quantity of 5 1/4 and 3.5 inch floppies went to landfill along with a number of 10 to 200 meg hard drives. Around a 100 1/4" backup tapes went as well.
I've kept my DAT and WORM drives for sentimental purposes though. Undecided what to do with my old ham radio gear....
