Recordings - Video plays, audio does not.

Live TV - ATSC, no sound. Regular TV, Happauge 150, sound and video both work.

I'm sure it's a decoder thing, but I can't figure it out. I have tried the ATI video decoder and the MPV video decoder, this made no difference. On Audio Decoder, I"ve tried both System Default and MPEG Audio Decoder.

The problem also occurs in WMP, so it isn't a GBPVR issue, I just can't figure it out.

If its digital recordings made on ATI 650, then they probably have AC3 audio, which cant be decoded by the 'MPEG Audio Decoder'.

I just realized the ATI decoder I have is old. I found it by running the XP video decoder utility. I just reinstalled the newer ATI Cyberlink decoder, hoping that'll do it.

Does the same decoder get used during recording, or is that different?

Since my existing recordings were choppy no matter which decoder I used, I am pretty sure at this point it was the recording, not the playback, that's choppy. So, I wonder if I have an outdated Cyberlink decoder, if it's used during recording as well?
