Thanks - searched forums for codec recommendations after my last post and the MPV decoder came up a few times, I will try that and report results.

Well. Downloaded and installed MPV Decoder. Works fine, on both GBPVR and PVRX2. LiveTV, Recordings and Video all OK, audio sync OK too. Thanks everyone for your help!

It didn't work for the PVR 350. Sad
