Latest version of GBPVR & latest HDHomerun software.

Setup: Capture Devices:
HDHomerun Tuner 0 ATSC
HDHomerun Tuner 1 Qam
Win TV PVR 150 Analog Cable
ATI 650 ATSC
ATI 650 Analog Cable
Win TV HVR 1600 Analog Cable
Win TV HVR 1600 QAM

Windows Media Center 2005 (all updates) Recording Service & Scheduler Disabled!

I set up the analog devices first, then the ATI 650 ATSC , then the HVR 1600 & HDHomerun QAM devices.

When I try mapping the HDHomerun Tuner 0 ATSC channels I get an error message listed below.

"Unable to start bda device, check if configured properly or device is already in use".

I did follow the "HVR 1600 QAM Tip" by replacing the "nativeutlities.dll" & "qam.ini" files.

The details of the message:

See the end of this message for details on invoking
just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.

There's more info pertaining to build info.

Anyone run into this before?

Thank's.

Config.exe-native.log looks like the one. Hopefully I attached it properly.

Sorry, I cant see any attachment. You need to zip both config.exe.log and config.exe-native.log and attach them when you create the post.

You've created a bda.ini entry that tells GB-PVR to look for a driver with the name "Silicondust HDHomeRun Tuner 1010ABDO-0", but no installed driver with this name is found on your machine.

This is most likely because either you've entered the serial number part of that incorrectly, or because the BDA drivers arent installed at all. I can check if you run FilterCheck then attach the resulting FilterCheck.log: http://forums.gbpvr.com/showpost.php?p=1...ostcount=6

Also, when adding the entry for the HDHomeRun to the bda.ini, did you put TUNING_SPECIAL=2 ? This line should only exist for the HVR, not the HDHomeRun. Someone else made this mistake.

GRRRRR!!!
If I was using NoteTab Lite instead of Notepad like I do on every other operating system install I would have noticed I had an o not a 0 in the serial number in the bda.ini file. Couldn't figure out why on the same machine it worked on my XP Pro install but not on my Media Center 2005 install. It's scanning channels as I type this.

Thank's sub!

P.S. Whurlston.. do we have definitive answer yet on the guide replacement for Zap2it in the US?

A few actually. Check the developer forum. I've written two myself. One requires MCE (Vista or 05) and the other requires Y! Go for TV. Others have written options that don't require other software. My MCE grabber is complete unless someone runs into an issue. It uses your current MCE EPG. I'm now working on an app that will let you download multiple lineups from MCE. I have a few more things I want to do with the Y! grabber but it works as is.

The multiple lineups is what I'm interested in as I'm now using 3 sources & will be adding a 4th.

Thank's again!
