Is there any simple way to manually start and stop recording without having to program a start and stop time. This would be convenient for the process I am going through to capture video from VCR tapes.

Help much appreciated

Go into liveTV for whatever capture source you have set up for the VCR, then it Ctrl-K and it will bring up some options -you can go to record "Until I exit Live TV" - that should be OK for what you want.

JonnyCam - Outstanding. I tried it, works great! Thanks. Just curious - what other Ctrl keys don't I know about? Is there a guide to this somewhere?

Try that - though some of these keys may not be active in the new interface (someone else may be able to clarify this for you however)

Thanks
