I have a case where are three shows in succession that I want to record using GB-PVR.

They are all set up in the scheduler, but I find when it switches from programme A to programme B, there is a slight break between the two recordings.

Is there any way or tip to minimise or get rid of this?? For the moment, i have just left no padding either side of the middle programmes.

I use a different strategy. I have my own xmltv grabber, and I have some logic to make one big program (in the tv schedule) out of two or more consecutive programmes. Before I had the same problem, the beginning of the second programme at the end of the first, then a gap, en then the rest.

Wasn't long after the wife started using GB-PVR that she asked if we could order another tuner. I was good with it. spend the $60, it will save you a lot of grief and then you get all the shows in their entirety.

ok, in that case, is it possible to set a recurring manual (ie I specify the times) recording?

eg record TV2 from 7:00pm to 8:00pm every Tuesday?

Sure, just hit the "manual rec" button in the Recordings screen.

Here's what I do for all of the above issues.

I use my digital box to setup timers to record daily/weekly or one time shows. (NOTE: from the digital box to the TV card, the connection is RCA audio and S-Video) If there are two consecutive shows, IE. 6-7pm channel 2, then 7-8pm on channel 5, I setup a manual record from 6-8. The digital box changes the channel @ 7 and nothing gets missed. I use a program called VideoRedoPlus to edit the video and make two separate mpg or vob files.

Good luck!

thanks Sub, knew it'd be simple. All set up and sorted.

RacerX - agree, VideoReDo is great, I have used it long before I even started using GB-PVR. Is great for re-editing TS files too. Big Grin
