XMLTV and schedules direct

I have a question about how the xmltv and data interact with GBpvr.

I switched to this method this morning and all seemed well at first, and generally it is. In the TV guide i see a star (*) next to some programs. I didn't think much about it at first but i've noticed that when that star is next to a show that if it's a reoccuring show that it doesn't not get marked for recording, even though it is set as a record all shows on this channel.

Has anyone seen this or know what the star means and how to get it to record all like it's supposed to?

The star is an indication that this is a 'new' show, meaning it is the original air date for the show.
You can either do a scheduled recording for all shows with the * (new shows) or all shows without the * (repeats)

One more question and i promise i'll go away.

While setting up my wife's soaps to record i notice that some have the star, some don't. I know they're all new since they don't do reruns. Do i have to set up two recurring recordings to make sure i get them. I noticed the first time i did the setup GBpvr was only going to record the ones without the star, not the ones with.

Yeah, sometimes the listings don't have the original air date so i-xmltv doesn't know to add a star to the show. I've set up mine to do both (with and without *) just to make sure I don't miss any shows.

I noticed the same thing with the Soaps when I set this up for my wife. The solution was to setup an recurring for with and without the "*".

I've done that exact same thing to solve the problem. I'll have to monitor for a few days to make sure she's getting her fix or my name will be mud.
