Is GB-PVR able to search and play media from other upnp servers on the network

Hi All,

I am fairly new to the whole HTPC thing but am essentially building a new low power PC in order to act as a media centre pc in my living room.

I stumbled across GB-PVR in the reviews of a motherboard on ebuyer, a I must say, I absolutely like this tool.

One of the things that I'm trying to achieve is to be able to access all my media sitting on a NAS upnp A/V server (NSLU2+500GB Seagate hdd). Is it possible for GB-PVR to be able to browse all upnp media servers available on the network and play video, songs and photos streamed from the upnp media server??

IIRC as long as you can access it as a drive from windows you should be good to go, just add the folders in config...

It cant play media directly from a upnp A/V server. It is not a upnp client.

As elite indicates above though, you'd be able to play it from shares on the NAS device.

Many thanks for clarifying. I was looking all over the forums for someone who has accessed upnp media via GB-PVR.
