AverMedia AverTV DVB-T Volar USB help??

I have bought the AverMedia AverTV DVB-T Volar which is a USB-stick type of card, but try as I might, I cannot get it to work with GBPVR... Can anyone help? I have tried editing the BDA.INI file and put the Tuner and Capture values from FilterCheck; it lets me add the card but then cannot find any channels. If I try the Tuning Assistant it then says it cannot find any Crossbar filters.... Has anyone else a clue how I can use this card with this software? Many thanks. Nick

Can you run FilterCheck then attach the resulting FilterCheck.log: http://forums.gbpvr.com/showpost.php?p=1...ostcount=6

Tuning Assistant is only used for analog cards, so you dont need to work about that specific aspect.

I have the ATSC version of the volar and i have noticed that most of the usb tuners form avermedia use the same drivers and as a result would probably use the same bda entries.
You can check this by looking device manager under sound and multimedia for Aver ... A686 usb. (this is what my device is classified as, yours might be different)
I cant grantee this will work but the bda entries should be there as i found them posted on the forum, here

The info states that the BDA entry should cover these series of devices form aver A868/E509/HC80/M038/M039

Erm... Silly mistake; just hadn't pressed the "Map Digital channels to EPG channels" button... Sorry!

For anyone else who is trying to set-up this card, I edited BDA.ini and put in:

That's good to hear, you should probably call the entry AVerMedia Volar DVB-T to avoid any confusion with the US version of Volar for ATSC

Thanks for the section nick. I've included it in the master bda.ini file but have named it [AVerMedia Volar DVB-T]. You should probably rename yours to make sure the next upgrade will go smoothly.
