Hello,

For some reason Zap2it is not working with any of my GBPVR's anymore. Did they quit the service? Is there another easy way to update my EPG?

Thanks!

Zap2it closed down a few weeks ago. There is now a service called schdulesdirect that offers the same listings for $30 a year. You could also take a look at the scrapers on the wiki.

Hello,

will this schedulesdirect work with older version of GBPVR? I think I am using 0.99 or similiar. Do I just use the XMLTV option?

Is there any detailed tutorial that can help me with this??

Thanks!

I may be mistaken (so wait for Sub or someone else who knows for certain) to answer, but I'm pretty sure that you must have 1.0.16 of GBPVR in order to use the new service.

Being the cheapo that I am (more like broke-o), I looked for alternatives. I found Zap2XML which is listed in the wiki link given above. It works for me and some others, but it all depends on your setup and needs.

If you do a search on "Zap2It", I'm sure you'll find many other threads that may already answer questions you have and more concerning the recent passing of ye ol' free service.

Not true... you can use XMLTV and have GBPVR import the generated XML file. But as of 1.0.16, you can use the internal GBPVR method to obtain your listings (just make sure you look in the survival thread for a patch)
