I am running 1.0.16 and have applied the .msi patch as well as replaced the BackendCommon.dll file. I am running the SchedulesDirect EPG and have it pointing to my username, not email.

When I launch the config and try to connect to the EPG server, it still tries to hit the zap2it server and returns the same error I got with the old service. I thought the .dll file mentioned above fixed this?

I have stopped the service and started the config again, same error.

It turns out that I had forgot to select a service when signing up for SchedulesDirect. :o I guess it threw me off when the box still shows that it is trying to pull data from zap2it.

problem resolved. Rolleyes

The data still comes from the zap2it servers, which is a bit confusing to most, so I'm going to change the message in the next release to say something else. Hopefully this will remove some of the confusion this causes.

I ran out of Zap2It data recently which caused me to wake up and look into switching EPG. I am on 1.0.16 so that upgrade is done. The original poster refers to running version 1.0.16 plus an MSI patch. What MSI patch is s/he talking about? Is there something I need to get SubscriptionsDirect to work within GBPVR.

I tried to set that up as an option using config.exe, but got an error message. The only way I was able to EPG data as configure XMLTV using a SubscriptionsDirect account.

Is there a patch I need on 1.0.16 to get GBPVR to work with SubscriptionsDirect within the config? I'd rather not have to schedule XMLTV to do the data feed.

See post #7 in the 1.0.16 Survival thread. It's not a .msi, just a zipped .dll. You will need to stop the recording service and exit the tray app before applying it.

A problem I had was the login box for Schedules Direct (in the GBPVR config) asked for your email and password. It kept erroring out for me when I would try to update. It turns out that, even thought it says "email", you really just want to type in your Schedules Direct login name.

Hi there, don't want to hijack the thread but since the first problem is solved i think i can post mine.

I used to run 1.0.08 with zap2it, and worked fine, but then i switch to scheduledirect and can't seems to get it work.

I tried reinstalling gbpcr 1.0.16,applied the patch (.dll) then create my account in scheduledirect, add my lineup in it, saved it, then went back to gbpvr and configured it just as the wiki says. Entered my username, password, saved everything

When i try to get the channel listing into gbpvr i get a big error message. I'm at work right now and can't send a log file or a printscreen. But it seems to have difficulty to extract the data from scheduledirect.

can someone help me. My trial period ends tomorrow, and i'd like to know if it's going to work before paying 15$.

thx

Anybody with a hint on this one?

Are you absolutely certain that you:
1. Selected Schedules Direct (instead of Zap2it)
2. Typed in the Username and Password correctly? Try logging into your account in Schedules Direct's site to verify.

I just checked on scheduledirect, on this side everything is fine. My username and password is working fine.

At first i've played with xmltv could that be causing error, even if i uninstalled everything, and then reinstall 1.0.16.

I'm pointing to scheduledirect, and my password and username seems to be ok.

Check out the last post in this thread... maybe it is the same problem.
