No, there is a functioning DHCP server enabled on my switch.
The PC can pick up an IP address from it without problems.
I know that the DHCP on the switch is OK but when I disable it and enable a DHCP server on the PC it receives no requests from the MVP (although it does receive requests from other things on the network including the switch)
I think it is some kind of communication problem (probably related to routing as there is more than one network card in the PC) but haven't had enough time to nail it yet.
