divx conversion not working

ok, here's a question. is the reason why it's not working because these are old recordings? I have not tried recording anything new. I am wanting it to convert the old mpg files to divx format. Will it not do that?

It'll only work on new recordings.

You can use the 'transcode' feature of the Video Library to manually convert old recordings.

BTW, xvid conversions look much nicer than divx conversions.
