I've recently bought a new (bigger) HD and moved my GBPVR recording files to a directory on the new drive. All the recording info and descriptions show in GBPVR but have a Failed! status and are not playable. Is there a way to tell GBPVR that I've moved all my media files to the new drive?

Thanks Smile

Thanks for the info. Guess I should have asked first. I had renamed the old directory but not deleted the files. In renaming it back apparently I was too late. Recording dump only showed 3 entries.
I'd like to request a feature addition that allows GBPVR to ask if the entries should be deleted before wiping them. I'd hate to see a bad conection to a mapped server drive result in the loss of years worth of recording info. Any chance of "undeleting" the DB records or am I truly toast?

Also check for the recording-dump.xml.bak, which is automatically created.

Alternatively, GB-PVR also writes the show meta data to the recording file, and there is a utility on the wiki that can be used to recreate these entries in the database from this metadata. http://gbpvr.com/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Utility/MpegImport

This default behaviour has served us well in the past, and helped keep databases clean, so I'm unlikely to change it. You can disable this default behaviour though if you really dont like it by setting the following in config.xml:

<AutoRemoveMissingRecordings>false</AutoRemoveMissingRecordings>

Thats very helpful information.
Since the auto delete can be disabled that solves my concern. Thanks for the help.
