Installing a second tuner card

Hi
Can anyone point to me to how to instal a second tuner card? I currently have a Hauppauge PVR250 installed and I have bought a PVR150 to use as a second tuner card. I've tried installing it once but it caused a few problems that led to me busting the system so I took out the 150. I think my problem was caused by me not installing the new drivers properly. Do I need to run HCW Clear before I install the driver for the second card? If I do this will that uninstal my first card - and if so will the drivers for both cards then be installed?

No - not a basic question, Hauppauge software and drivers etc. are a bit tricky (I'm being polite when saying that).

You probably should use hcwclear, reboot then install the drivers for each card. I have a PVR350, PVR500 and 4 Nova-T cards - I became a dab hand at remembering the order to re-install drivers after using hcwclear but it took a while to work it out. Thankfully I haven't had to do it for a long time. With your combination, you shouldn't have a problem.

When using hcwclear tell it to remove everything - that way you'll start with a 'clean' machine when you reboot.
