Hi,
Sometimes my pc doesn't wake up from standby to do a recording. I have attached the logs after a missing recording. It only started to record, after that I have "waken up" the PC manually.
I have installed this patch: http://forums.gbpvr.com/showpost.php?p=2...stcount=18

You can look into the GBPVRRecordingService.exe-native.log file to check that it has asked Windows to be awake at the right time, but other than this there wont be anything in the logs. (this is the literally the only thing GB-PVR does to wake for a recording)

The only issue I'm aware of that can cause a PC to not wake, is if it was put to sleep with a script that uses SetSuspendState thingy.

I didn't use a script. It went to stand-by either automatic contolled by Windows, or manually by me, pressing "start" and close computer and standby. Strange... on most occasions it works great, but this time it didn't wake up. Too bad I didn't check in time, to see if it woke up. :confused:
Then I didn't get the boxing-game, Kessler-Calzaghe recorded. Fortunately I saw it live on tv.

This mustn't be only a gb-pvr problem. It can be dependent on your hardwaredrivers too, did you change something in the past with drivers oder hardware? Perhaps a BIOS update?

I have not made a BIOS-update, but maybe it could be usefull?
I have changed the graphic card-driver recently, and played around with different progams and updates.

If you have not updated your BIOS that should not be the problem - but could very well be the drivers you changed.
I had problems in the past with a PC not resuming from standby, caused first by the sound card drivers and then, later, a release of the Hauppage tv card drivers.
A nice little program is sleeper from http://www.passmark.com - a free tool to test your PC's various suspend states any number of times...

@Michael ravn
Are you using an ATI Card and the latest Catalyst? There are a few compability problems with this one.
And even the newer NVIDIA drivers are a little bit buggy in some cases.
You like nPVR? Then please help pay the bills, and keep the project alive!
