Hi,

I am trying to setup a client pc to connect to my GBPVR server that works great, I have looked in the logs and I do see an error about not being able to write to a read only database, how can I fix this and I have given the MDB and db3 files full access to anyone? also could it be the firewall? are there any ports which I should be allowing.

Thanks
Joolz

have you had a look at this
http://gbpvr.com/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/FAQ/Networking

make sure they can change the files aswell
also its easier to turn off windows firewalls to see if they are getting in the way
you can turn it back on after

you can add gbpvr and the recording service to your allow list in your firewall settings
port 7647 and 7648 i think is the one you open
TCP gbpvr you may also need to add pvrx2
used to be on the wiki but someone has removed it

also remember that when setting up a share in Xp the default is for everyone read only, you'll need to go into the share and change to full control (Right click folder, sharing, permissions)
