Forcing Enabling of Channels & A Missing Channel

I have a Freecom DVB type 2 USB card running on a fresh installed (yesterday) Windows XP SP2 system with the latest drivers for all (BDA for the freecom), an Nvidia 7600 GT graphics card, 2 GB of RAM and a Pentium 4 Dual Core CPU. And I have the K-lite mega codec pack installed and Nero 8. And the latest version of DirectX.

I've got two problems. The first is that one channel (E4) won't be found. It's discovered when using the Freecom software and WDM drivers but won't appear when using the BDA drivers in media portal or GB-PVR. I can get E4+1, More4, Channel 4 and Channel 4+1 which are all by the same company. Any ideas?

The second is something that someone else may have already asked but I couldn't find when searching. I have three channels that aren't listed in the XMLTV software I'm using but I still want to be able to watch them and maybe record. Is there any way I can force them to be added by having fake channels and episodes added to the XML file or something?

In the BDA capture source setting there was a 'advanced BDA settings' button. In there was an option to ignore CRC errors. Try enabling that then scanning again.

You can hit the 'add' button to manually create a channel, then map a digital channel to it.
