I have a Hauppage 150 card and have been trying forever to set this thing up. I finally got it to work in gbpvr after reinstalling the drivers, but I am getting white vertical lines down the image! This same thing happened with BeyondTV, however it did not happen with SageTV.

Is this a driver issue or some kind of setting I need to change?

I have added log files and a screen shot to help with this problem.

is this some kind of interference or can it be solved through settings?

Looing at the screenshot, I'm guessing the cause is either your video decoder or video card. I have a hunch that disabling hardware acceleration in your video decoder will get rid of the problem.

I see you've left your video decoder setting set to 'system default', so thats the first thing I'd try changing...

I changed both the renderer and decoder. When choosing the EVR I get a message stating that my settings are not supported by my system (or something to that effect). I also get the same message when I decrease my hardware accelerationg too low.

are there any other possible causes for these white lines? Like I said they did not appear with SageTV (which i do not want to use) so I dont know what would make that software any different

if you play the recording back in media player does it have the lines
if not do you have media player set to high quality under the performance/advanced tab

The recorded videos look great in VLC player, but when i watch them in GBPVR they have the lines.

Does this mean i need to change a setting in gbpvr?

GB-PVR doesnt do playback and display of the video itself. The video decoder or video card are the items responsible for what ends up on the screen, so I'm pretty sure it'll be one of these two items causing your problem.
