I've never really had any trouble with recordings not recording up until recently, but it seems to be happening more frequently - and when it does happen, the recording service is crashing.

Attached are my logs - the latest instance happened at around 23:47 Dec 2

I do have the multiple tuners patch installed. However, this latest failure was a string of three back to back recordings. It failed about 3/4 way through the 2nd recording

It seemed to be something related to the web server. If you're not using the web server, I'd recommend disabling it.

The cassini web server or IIS?

I occasionally use EWA which is set up for port 8050. IIS is enabled on the machine on port 80, but I don't really use it for anything anymore.

Any possibility it could be a PC client? That's about the only recent change to the system I can think of. I loaded 1.1.5 on a laptop, and set it up as a client.

One oddity I remember, now that I'm thinking about it is that each time I changed the config on the client trying to get it to run smoothly, it would tell me "recordings in progress" when there were none.

The only error I can see in the logs relates to the Cassini server. The cassini error message is the last message in two of your recording service logs. A client PC doesnt use this, so its unlikely to be related to your client.

OK - I'll kill EWA and see if the problem is resolved.

Thanks!

BTW - should I then post this to the EWA support forum?

Someone in the EWA forum mentioned that build 68 was crashing the recording service but 69 had fixed it. You might want to check that out.

Its worth trying the updated build pastro suggests above on off the chance...but I suspect its either something I'll have to fix or a bug in the asp.net framework stuff (which would mean I'd need to understand the cause and find a work around). Unfortunately I dont really have time to investigate this at the moment.

Disabled the http server, but still having issues with back to backs.

In the latest example - back to back on the same channel. I have two tuners - PVR500.

The one that failed, failed about 20 sec into the recording. I browsed the logs to see if I could figure it out myself. I see where it quit recording, but the reason wasn't clear to me.

Attached are the logs - recording 2 failed on Dec 6 @ 20:29:21

Also - I did verify that both my tuners are functional and both capable of recording at the same time on different channels.

One point of note is, I believe the last couple times back to backs failed - the one that failed was scheduled via "Quick Record" -- maybe coincidence, I haven't tested yet to see if that really is a common point or not.
