Been using 98.13b for ages now and I thought I would try the latest version

I was wondering if there was any way of getting the Video directories to
appear in the order in which they have been added ?

I tried adding 3 directories on 3 different drives , but the order got reversed
eg
Name Directory
Video L:\Video
Video2 G:\Video
Video3 K:\Video

Order appears in GB PVR
Video3
Video2
Video

I tried editing the config.xml to reverse the order but it made no difference.

Is there anyway around this problem ?

Thanks

Unfortunately the order is at the mercy of .net.

I'll try to add a mechanism to force it to obey the order in a future release.

Thanks for replying

I take it that this is also the reason why files in Video (pvrx2) are listed in a
random order and not alphabetically?

If I use gbpvr the file listing are listed alphabetically.

No, they're listed in the correct order here. This random order would only affect the top level if you're defined multiple directories. Directories and files within each should be in order.

Are you running the latest 1.1.5 release?

Yes I am running the latest 1.1.5 version

top Level - Video dirs
Video ---------------->Inside this dir lots of video files
Video2
Video3
etc etc

In pvr2x the files inside the video dir were arranged haphazardly
I then shutdown pvrx2 and ran gbpvr to see if it was the same
gbpvr listed the files in alphabetical order.
I shutdown gbpvr and ran pvrx2 , browsed to the Video dir but this time
the files were ordered correctly ???? weird glitch maybe ?

Thanks for replying

Have you applied the patches in the survival guide?

I do remember this bug, and it only happened after going back to the directory after viewing a deeper directory. This was fixed, but I cant remember exactly when I thought it was in 1.1.5, but it could have been post 1.1.5, in which case the latest PVRX2.exe patch you can find should fix it.
