Hi, first off great software! It's really quite awesome.
Problem: I can't seem to get GB-PVR to work on my intended system. GB-PVR startup warns me that VMR9 and VMR7 are not supported on this system, and when I try to use overlay, the app just hangs forever.
It's an older laptop (3yrs old), which from reading other posts would normally just toss this up as an unfixable problem. However, since apps like WinTV2000, Windows Media Player, etc. play video perfectly on this system, I thought I'd post here to see if anyone had any insight on any possible solutions.
Specs:
PII 600MHz
512M RAM
8MB ATI Rage Mobility Pro with TV out
Hauppage WinTV-PVR USB2 (connected via USB2.0)
Windows 2000
DirectX 9c
Main questions I have are:
Would installing WinXP help?
Would/could a newer video card driver help?
Any other configuration settings I might try?
