I am getting an error message when I go to set up a program to record, I get the following error message: "No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it". What?

That typically means either your recording service isnt running, or you have some firewall software getting in the way of communication between PVRX2.exe and the GBPVR Recording Service.

Sorry, recording service? Is this the same as the listing service?

The recording service is a bit of software that is installed with GB-PVR and runs in the background all the time (GBPVRRecordingService.exe).

OK, that bit is running according to my task manager window, not quite sure how to ferret out the firewall interference. Oddly, now for no apparent reason or adjustment on my part GBPVR is now taking recordings.
