Dear experts,

I want to use my Skystar2 DVB-S card with the BDA drivers within GBPVR. So I switched to the BDA drivers. Scanning, EPG, Channel Mapping works fine. But everything I record has blocks and stutters. It's not a GBPVR problem, because recordings of ProgDVB (using the BDA driver) show the same effect.
I tried the Cyberlink and the ATI mux, but there is no difference.

With the native Technisat drivers all recordings were perfect.

Any ideas?

If you take a recording and play it back in the a non-directshow based player, like VLC, does the video look any better?

Hi sub,
thanks for your quick reply!
No, the blocks are in the recorded file. I tried it with VLC.

I have a Skystar2 card and am using the BDA drivers and it records fine in GBPVR - not that this helps you, but it's not a general problem! I have an ATI HD2600XT graphics card, cyberlink codecs for mpeg playback and good question re the mux - one that was recommended on the sticky (think it is cyberlink). Although I was using the XP SP2 default for ages before I installed a mux and it still worked fine. I can record SD and the BBC HD channel perfectly...

Thanks for you answer. At least it helps me to know that there is someone who made this card work with BDA drivers. I'll keep on investigating...
