Hi, found after playing music for a while, that when you skip tracks, stop, pause, play etc the screen saver stays on.

No in itself a bad thing. But once you then go to the system to use it, every keypress moves the icon on the screen saver, and the only way to make it go away is to press one of the function keys (live tv, video library etc).

Logs attached, but i had a look though them and can't see much, not even some of the enters and other keys that i pressed trying to get rid of the screen saver.

I've seen a couple of posts from people reporting similar symptoms in the past, but I'd never been able to reproduce it here.

I can see one error in your logs:

Quote:2008-01-26 16:20:08.562 VERBOSE [1] System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

Unfortunately that location in the code doesnt really tally up with anything related to the screensaver, so I'm not sure that its the problem. It would be useful to check if you have that error in your logs when it next occurs. If it is, then I'll take a closer look at that method, or add some new logs messages or something.

Yeah i saw that as well, and like you couldn't see anything. It's pretty infrequent, but I'll keep an eye out for it.

I've had this lock-up a couple of times with the standard screen saver, but it also occurs with the ML2 panel too when launched from the menu (yes I know it recommends not using it with pvrx2... Smile). Also random and unreproducable, but I thought it might help to identify the cause if there's some common code between them.

I wouldn't think so, I'm sure in the panel I say:
OnKeyPress
Return to main menu

No processing of any keys at all.

I think I'm seeing this same problem.

I'm testing the dvb-t radio plugin and last night I had a lockup in PVRX2 where I couldn't get back from the screensaver. I assumed it was a fault in my code.

A little while ago I had the same problem - whenever I click the mouse in the PVRX2 window or hit a key on the keyboard (any key) the screensaver graphic disappears and then re-appears (a bit like it's playing hide'n'seek Smile ).

After hitting lots of random keys I hit F1 and the TV Guide appeared.

Not sure if that's any help in solving the problem.

Cheers,
Brian

It happened enough for me on the mvp that I've got in the habit of waking he screen first and then hitting stop.
