Last night I installed the Hauppauge Nova T 500 MCE to see how it went with the DVB-T test signals. Installation was a breeze, and configuration picked up all the channels (I installed the patch to get all the channels)... Strength says about 70 and Quality is 100. Problem is that the all I get is a black screen when viewing. In analog (using the PVR350) I do get Prime and MaoriTV. MaoriTV is pretty clear, with Prime a bit grainy. I've installed the Cyberlink PowerDVD 7 trialversion, so assume that the H.264 decoder is installed.

Just wondering if any of you have any pointers of what could be wrong or needs to be checked.
Regards,
Hasso

Hope the right logs are attached.... This is when I attempted to go to Live TV using the Nova T 500.
Interestingly, I get a black screen when I go to Live TV, or try to watch a scheduled Recording while it is in progress, but I can playback the finished recording... in all its high definition glory.
If I use PowerDVD, it can playback the recording while it is in progress and after it has completed.

Incidentally, the playback with GBPVR for DVB_T recordings is jerky, while PowerDVD playback appears to be a lot smoother. I wonder what the playback differences are...
Regards,
Hasso

I cant see any sign of the Cyberlink H.264 decoder in those logs. This decoder only comes with their ultimate version (or whatever its called).

That is strange, then. As I said in the post, this only happens during live TV or when trying to play a DVB-T recording that is in progress. The recording will play in PVRX2 once it has completed. If I didn't have the Cyberlink H.264 decoder, then I'd expect playback of DVB-T (.ts) recordings not to work either.

Any other things I need to investigate that you can think of?

Hasso

Ah, sorry - I didnt read closely enough. You definitely wont be able to watch an H.264 recording while it is in progress, or do time shift live tv. You should be able to recording shows, or watch live tv in preview mode though.
