Well, this may not be directly related to GBPVR (sorry for that), but I believe people here can help me with this problem.

With my settings below, video and audio are out of sync. Strangely, video is about 1~2 second faster than audio. So I think this is not related to underpowered hardware, but to some inadequate settings.
- Video Decoder: ffdshow
- Audio Decoder: ffdshow
- Video Renderer: VMR9 FSE
- Audio Renderer: WaveOut device

Does someone has any idea why? My guess is waveout audio renderer is causing delay. (I have to use this to avoid choppiness problem.) Is it possible to tweak ffdshow setting to give a few seconds of delay to video?

It looks more complicated than my original post. In most SD channels there is almost no delay. Some HD channels have delay of 1~2 second, but other HD channels have no delay, or differs from program to program on the same channel. What to suspect???

Ah, so this is an ffdshow problem... Any recommended lightweight codec? I found DScalar working, but loved the tweaking options of ffdshow like audio normalizing (even without that option there is audio delay).

Not necessarily FFdshow. My HTPC likes ATI mux for sync, but sometimes it does some weird audio distortion thing, so I use Cyberlink which is clean but sometimes goes out of sync. Muxer choice is on the last tab in config.
I bet Michael Bay uses GBPVR because it's awesome:

Ah, it's getting complicated again... I'll check out the ATI mux. Thank you.

Ah, I didn't make that clear in the first post. I'm using HVR-1600.

It looks finding the culprit of a problem is quite complicated here. The data chain is just too long to pinpoint who to blame. Tuner, device driver, video/audio decoder, video/audio renderer, video/audio driver, video/audio card, monitor/speaker. On top of this chain OS settings and CPU power can also be attributed. For those who use onboard graphic chip, memory speed and video memory size are also something to watch.

I hope someday all this configuration related things will be automatically done, and we human only have to enjoy the freedom.
