I noticed one of my recordings looked considerably better than the usual recordings. The file size is about 2.3GB for an approximately 30 min recording. The usual recordings are about 1.4GB for a 30 min recording. I looked at the files with GSpot and it reported that the 2.3GB file was 11250 kb/sec while the 1.4GB file was 10406 kb/sec VBR. I have normally had Medium quality in direct.ini set to the High quality bit rate (5500 variable, 9000 peak) so Quick Record records at High quality. I was doing some experimenting with this, but can't remember what the setting might have been for the 2.3GB file.
So, is there a way to translate from the GSpot values to GBPVR direct.ini values, or is there another way to determine the GBPVR bit rate used for a recording?
Thanks.
