Timeshift channel change speed

Sub, I have to say after trying many PVR softwares, I find that GB-PVR is the best. Thanks a million!!

I was just wondering if any progress has been made into speeding up channel changes in timeshift mode. I saw this post http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=13294 but it's over two years old. I had to turn off timshifting because of 10-15 second channel changes.

Things have improved over the last two years. For most people it takes about 2 - 2.5 seconds to change channels on an analog device, and about 4 - 6 seconds for digital depending on capture device and mux. We still get the occasional user that has really show channel change times for one reason or another though. Personally, I prefer live preview mode - timeshift doesnt get to much focused effort from me, so is unlikely to improve much beyond its current times.

As mentioned in that thread, you may want to try different versions of quartz.dll. Doing this greatly reduce the long delays he was getting.
