Had GBPVR up and working fine for a week.

Today I could watch live TV but when I would record I got a black screen. I uninstalled GBPVR, re-installed, now I get a black screen trying to watch live TV, but now get something when I record? Looks like it's either or, not both. Not trying to do both at the same time.

All I did between it working fine and now is install Adobe Reader.

How many capture sources do you have set up? GB-PVR will start at the top of the list and work it's way down for recording. Live TV is opposite: starts at the bottom and works it's way up. So if you have more than one capture source and one is configured wrong, that would explain your issue.

Also, zip and post your logs after getting the black screen.

I only have one PVR-150 card, but I had a second capture source listed where I set it up as a S-video connection from an outside source. I was recording from a STB and it's been working.

So, I deleted the second S-video source and now it plays TV or records. Now that I know where the problem exist, I'll see if I can get it back the the way it was before.

Thanks,

You have to make sure gbpvr knows that your two sources are on the same board so that it knows it can only use one at a time. In config they both need to be set as "capture device board number 1".

The reason you were getting your symptoms is that gbpvr starts at the top of the sources and works down for recording and from the bottom up for live TV. (well something like that!).
