I have by trying to setup GBPVR with my HVR-1600 with no luck. I have tried numerous different settings with no luck.

I have a Dishpro 381 receiver hooked to my 1600 through S-video and a Nivdia 6200LE hook to my TV through composite. I can view windows and everything but I can see anything in live TV or record.

I tried the tuning assistant and get nothing. I did the MUX checker and installed the Cyberlink MUX which I thought would fix things but nothing still.

A little help to get this working would be great.

Did you create a capture source which is configured to use the svideo input on your HVR1600?

The tuning assistant wont do anything since you're not using the tuner.

Yes, I created a capture source and tried every setting possible in the capture source settings to get it to work.

Do you have an MPEG2 video decoder installed?

Try reproducing the problem then zip and attach the logs and I'll take a look.

It looks like you've told it to use a USB-UIRT IR Blaster, but dont have one attached to your machine.

Great, the video and sound works now. Thanks for your help.

The reason for the USB-UIRT selection is because I have HP MCE remote that has a USB changer with blaster comp ability. I thought the would be the closest match. The remote and USB receiver look like this:

http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/produ...g=en&cc=us

Is there anyway to make this work. The remote seems to navigate through the menus but it goes out of control and the button will stick. For instance if I push up it will keep pushing up. I am not sure how to get the blaster part working either so it will control my box.

I switched the channel changer to a MCE 2005 blaster to see if that will work but not sure how to program it to my Dish receiver.

A 'USB-UIRT' isnt some generic name for a USB connected IR Blaster. It is a specific product manufactured by a company in the US. This channel changer option will only work with that specific device.

You can probably use the '.exe channel changer' with the blaster/receiver you have, pointing at HIPSend.exe. Have a look on the wiki and you'll find info about setting up HIP.
