Help. Recording keeps failing

I have not used the recording function in a few weeks. Last night (and today) I have been attempting to record without success. I looked in the recording failed with a message: "ERROR ConnectFilters:Failed(2)". Appreciate any help I can get in deciphering and fixing this issue. Thanks.[ATTACHMENT NOT FOUND]

From memory, with these old GO7007SB devices you need to have the Intervideo WinDVD Creator software installed (that came on the CD with it) or you get this error.

I uninstalled the driver and WinDVD Creator and re-installed a few times and still no luck, same error message. With your hint I found some more information about this here:

I found the file ivimux.ax and manually registered it with these commands:

copy ivimux.ax c:\windows\system32
regsvr32.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\ivimux.ax

Still no go. I used AVICodec to view the installed filters and found that ivimux.ax is properly installed and enabled. Is there anything else you can think of for me to try?

To be honest, I'm not really sure. Its been a very long time since I've tested one of these devices with GB-PVR... probably a good two years or so.

Based on the messages in your logs, I think its failing to find a directshow filter called "InterVideo Audio Encoder", not the mux filter.

Maybe try setting <GO7007SBPreferMP3Audio> to false in config.xml.
